Learn About the Wolves of Yellowstone from the Man Who Saved Them in NatGeo Live’s Calgary Show on April 27-28, 2025
After 100 years of being hunted to near extinction, the gray wolves in Yellowstone National Park are thriving thanks to strong conservation efforts.
On April 27 and 28, 2025, you can hear behind-the-scenes stories from the man who saved them at National Geographic’s Live Show in Calgary.
Wildlife biologist Doug Smith spearheaded the conservation program, which started back in 1995. After 41 wild wolves were reintroduced to the park, they monitored and researched the pack year-round to learn more about their impact on the ecosystem.
We’re excited about the never-before-seen photos and videos of the wolves. We also want to see the program’s cascading effects at the park over 30 years.
