MisCast, Calgary’s Theater With a Purpose, Returns on April 25, 2025
MisCast, Storybook Theater’s annual musical fundraiser, returns to Calgary on Friday, April 25, 2025. The two-hour show features Broadway’s biggest hits performed by local artists who traditionally wouldn’t have been cast for the roles.
Aside from empowering local artists, MisCast is one of two SBT musicals that raises funds for The Ellie Tims Project. Created in the fall of 2015, this program provides quality theater programming to students who can’t afford it.
Over the years, SBT has raised nearly $1 million, which has helped hundreds of kids get access to theater schools. No matter how small, we’re proud to have contributed to these efforts.

The fundraiser takes place at Beddington Theater Arts Center on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 7:30 PM. Only ages 12+ can watch as the show may contain adult themes and language.
